The Social Paradox: Acting connected, feeling disconnected
My latest photograph encapsulates the social paradox. It portrays an individual engrossed in their phone, lost in the endless scroll of social media. They are unaware of their immediate surroundings, which include potentially dangerous train tracks. These tracks symbolize the precarious situation of our supposed "connectedness." Train tracks, like social media, have the potential to connect us, taking us to places and people far away. But stepping onto the train — making real connections — is a conscious choice we must make.
